Abby Radke is a civil engineering analyst at Kimley-Horn and Associates, where she focuses on land development projects across the Pacific Northwest, with an emphasis on stormwater management.

She graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in civil engineering and a minor in environmental engineering. During her studies, Abby conducted research on microplastics in stormwater and played a leadership role as president of the Global Engineering Initiative club, where she coordinated international service projects.

Abby’s passion for water access was shaped through hands-on experience designing and implementing water and sanitation systems in communities across Malawi, Ghana, and Panama. Notably, she spent over a month in Malawi helping design and install an irrigation system for a girls’ secondary school, witnessing firsthand the impact that reliable water access can have on education and opportunity.

She joined the One Drop Global board in 2023, having known the organization through longstanding connections, and brings valuable technical expertise and field experience in water systems and infrastructure.

Abby is motivated by a love of problem-solving and a belief in the power of engineering to strengthen and uplift communities.

Outside of her work, she enjoys hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors.
