What began as a shared conviction that clean water changes everything has grown into a decade-long movement of impact, partnership, and hope.
2012: A Vision Is Sparked in Ghana
In 2012, Joel Trumbo traveled to Ghana, where he witnessed firsthand the daily challenges communities faced in accessing clean and safe water. He saw how something as basic as water affected every part of life — health, education, dignity, and opportunity.
Moved by what he had seen and inspired to help create change, Joel began exploring ways to make a meaningful difference in communities facing water insecurity.
2015: Joel Connects with H2O4ALL and Meets Tim
Joel’s vision soon led him to connect with H2O4ALL, where he met Tim Muttoo, an engineer, humanitarian leader, and cofounder of the Canadian organization. H2O4ALL is an international water charity based in Canada that developes practical sustainable solutions to bring clean water to underserved communities.
Together, they shared a common belief: that access to clean water is one of the most powerful ways to transform lives.
In 2015, Joel and Tim cofounded the U.S. branch of H2O4ALL.
2015–2025: Ten Years of Projects
Over the past ten years, the organization has carried out projects across Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and Dominican Republic working alongside local leaders, schools, churches, and partner organizations.
We have helped bring clean water access to hundreds of thousands of lives.
2026
Celebrating 10 Years
This year marks 10 years of service, trusted partnerships, and life-changing water projects around the world.
As we celebrate this milestone, 2026 also marks the beginning of a new chapter in identity.

How We Work
We work with local and global experts
We have an international team of engineers, hydrologists, public health specialists, and community leaders who plan, design, and manage our projects from beginning to end.
We listen to communities
By establishing trust with the community, we can truly collaborate to design a safe water system that the community will take ownership of and that will have long-term success.
We maintain relationships
We continue to stay in touch with all our communities continuously to ensure our projects are maintained and functioning. They have become part of the One Drop Global family and the family sticks together.
We use technology
We care for the environment and use the best sustainable technology available for each situation. Technologies include solar power, UV purification, rainwater harvesting, greywater recovery, ongoing sustainable farming practices, mobile apps and more.
