St. Edward’s Special School

Awendo, Kenya

The first safe water system at St. Edward’s Special School in Awendo, Kenya was completed in March 2025.

Since then, it has improved health, school attendance and daily life for hundreds of students and thousands of people in the surrounding community.

However, the need for water has continued to grow. The current system can no longer keep up, especially during busy school hours and the dry season.

The next phase will add a second borehole, providing more water and a more reliable supply throughout the year for the school and nearby community.
