Curt Sommer

Board Member

Curt Sommer is an insurance broker specializing in employee benefits at CMA Insurance Services. He brings a background in economics and financial analysis, along with a diverse professional journey spanning commercial real estate appraisal, GIS, renewable energy, and healthcare insurance.

Curt joined One Drop Global after being introduced to the organization through church in 2023 and following its work over time. He was drawn to the mission by a desire to serve others in meaningful ways, particularly those who are often overlooked or underserved.

He contributes to the board through his financial perspective and analytical approach, helping support thoughtful decision-making and organizational growth.

Curt believes that serving others—especially those who cannot repay you—is one of the most meaningful and rewarding callings in life.

Outside of his work, Curt is passionate about endurance sports and the outdoors. He has completed a full Ironman and multiple half-distance races, enjoys mountain climbing, and recently summited Mt. Whitney. He also enjoys wine tasting with his wife, Joy.
